Coach Miller has spent 28 years with the Mamaroneck field hockey program, advancing from Modified and JV coaching to Head Varsity Coach.
A Tradition of Success
While working a full-time job outside coaching, Tricia has devoted nearly three decades to helping young women become confident athletes and compassionate adults.
Her teams emphasize commitment, accountability, respect, humility and family. Her daughter Nicole and former player Raquel “Rocky” now coach alongside her.
Despite having her youngest team ever in 2026—with an eighth grader, three freshmen and four sophomores—the Tigers were 12–1, including a 2–1 victory over Lakeland.
Congratulations, Tricia Miller!
For 28 years, Coach Tricia Miller has dedicated herself to Mamaroneck field hockey, working her way from the Modified and JV levels to becoming Head Varsity Coach.
Across those 28 years, Mamaroneck has captured five state, thirteen regional, fifteen sectional, and twenty-four league championships. Since becoming head coach, Tricia has led the Tigers to two state, three regional, three sectional and four league championships, with an 82–4–1 record in her first four seasons.
During the 2026 season, the Tigers started 12–1 against a challenging schedule with an especially young roster.
What makes Coach Miller special goes beyond winning. She credits seniors and captains who lead by example, and treasures the relationships with players and families. Her greatest reward is watching young women grow into strong, confident, humble and compassionate adults.
It’s more than wins and losses. It’s about the lives we touch along the way.
